The owner of this tiny detached cottage in Lincolnshire was looking to create additional kitchen space and a bright sociable entertaining area to the rear of the property. We presented a few options for the extension to the rear, maximising glazing and openings onto the garden and looking out over the fields beyond. A couple of the options even added an extra utility room to the house to make it even more functional. We have tried to present options that would fall within permitted development so that planning permission would not be required.
